LEVI II

Finding Levi was a 2012 exhibition at the Fryup Institute of Contemporary Art (FICA), comprising a series of blown-up, blank Polaroids that alluded to the work of Levi Presley.  Presley took hundreds of pictures of his friends before removing them all from public view and purportedly burying them at an undisclosed location in Fryup forest.  Each blank Polaroid includes a short description of the ‘missing’ picture by his friend and frequent muse, Heather Moreland. “In denying us the images,” writes Moreland in the accompanying catalogue, “he succeeds in setting the imagination alight.”
