THE NORTH RIDING PROJECT

Invited to present a career retrospective at the Fryup Institute of Contemporary Art (FICA) in 2020, Tanya Lasagne instead staged a show in which the duty gallerist microwaved and served Kwik Save lasagnes to visitors, in a room comprising a collection of tables and chairs.  In a rare artistic statement to accompany the work, she wrote: “Everything I have achieved in my life, I owe to lasagne.”
