COOKBOOK II

The New Fryup Cookbook is a 2020 re-boot of the classic 1861 Fryup Cookbook by Dolores Thorsby.  Edited by food writer and restauranteur Treasure Siskin, and including original art and photography by Tanya Lasagne and Heather Moreland, it comprises almost 1,000 pages and weighs 15kg.  The book, which retails at £350, re-interprets many of the original classics such as the infamous Vanadis pudding, and offers a new twist on traditional Fryup cuisine with dishes like pike-and-Pernod pie, popcorn kittiwake, and shag phaal. The New Fryup Cookbook also includes extensive essays on the region’s food history, from its celebrated fast food culture to the origins of the Tahitian pizza.
