FRIG-8

Gentle, verdant Zammodale – possibly derived from the Germanic “zam”, meaning “tame” – rests amid a tangle of ley lines and standing stones that have long made it an attraction to archeologists and New Age Travellers alike.  In 1992 it was the site of an impromptu three-day Acid House rave that attracted an estimated 20,000 revellers and was fronted by the Fryup techno band FRIG-8, who performed in military camouflage, and whose debut single FORNIC-8 would go on to reach number fourteen.
