The Kola Stone is an ancient boundary marker of hard gritstone that stands about six feet tall and is located on Fryup North Moor. The previously unnamed stone was unofficially adopted as a shrine to the former adult movie star Kola Kubes following her death in 2009. Tributes frequently left at the stone include flowers, items of underwear, confectionary, and bottles of Kubes’ favourite drink, Pink Grapefruit MD 20/20.
