Pikeburger is a fast food restaurant in Fryup that specialises in burgers made from local freshwater fish, including its trademark Pikeburger, the Troutburger and the Carpburger. It achieved notoriety for the Grogburger, which comprises a patty made from the local delicacy, Grogfish. Etymologically derived from a blend of the Norse gröf (grave) and the Old English word for pike, ged, Grogfish is fermented pike that has been buried for over 100 days then hung for four to six months. Its ammonia-like smell is so extreme that the Grogburger can only be prepared and served outdoors. Numerous celebrity chefs have trailed film crews to Fryup to try it: Anthony Bourdain described the Grogburger as the worst thing he had ever eaten.
