Famed for its depraved human sheep-shearing parties, in which nude models were covered in whipped cream and contestants required to “shear’ them using only their tongues, and its deafening blend of local anarcho-punk and hardcore house, The Bandit was a short-lived Fryup gay club so notorious it was forced to keep its exact location secret, and whisk blindfolded revellers to its door down rutted farm tracks.  A-List stars begged for an invite: Madonna slopped up midway through her Blond Ambition world tour and took to the stage in a pair of wellies and her iconic conical corset, clutching a bucket of Fryup Fried Chicken.
