In 2018, Sprule committed to submitting an entry in every class of the produce and horticulture sections at Fryup Show: a total of 112 classes comprising vegetables, flowers, floral art, eggs, preserves and honey, home baking, handicrafts, painting and photography. She acquired a large allotment and kept hens and bees. Sprule won thirty-eight prizes, including ten first places, £67 in prize money (a profit of £11 after entry fees), and two trophies, for most points in the home baking section, and best chutney. She failed to submit entries for six classes. Sprule chronicled her project in a diary and a short film, ‘Show Saturday’. The Guardian called Sprule’s work “the ultimate guerrilla exhibition”.
