[Gabor] did not play the title role in Queen of Outer Space (1958), but was cast as a rebel Venusian who falls in love with four Earthmen whom her man-hating queen wants to destroy.  She dominates the posters in a scarlet gown slit up to the Milky Way, her ice-blonde hair so perfectly arranged it could have been moulded out of plastic.  Jewels recline comfortably on her swan-like neck.

Planets filled with beautiful women tended to crop up repeatedly – Cat Women of the Moon (1953), Queen of Outer Space (1958), Fire Maidens from Outer Space (1956), Voyage to the Planet of Prehistoric Women (1968).  Queen of Outer Space was notable for its casting of Hungarian-American legend Zsa Zsa Gabor, who utters the immortal line: “I hate dot qveen!”
