THE NORTH RIDING PROJECT

Sprule presented Deathcap Lasagne at the Streatham Gallery in 2008, comprising a plate of lasagne made using deadly deathcap mushrooms.  In place of a menu, a laminated sheet listed the devastating effects of eating the mushrooms.  The work was re-made every five days for the duration of the exhibition. Sprule, by now using her nom-de-guerre Tanya Lasagne, said: “I would head out into the countryside, literally searching for death.”
