Just when Lars von Trier’s back-to-basics Dogme series was starting to look like a damp squib, along comes a mischievous little incendiary device: a film that cheerfully revives the spirit of 1986 and the Hand of Maradona. Dogme No 8 is Fuckland, directed by Jose-Luis Marqués, a film about Fabian (Fabian Stratas), a horny Argentinian guy who visits the Falkland Islands with one aim in mind – to avenge the 1982 war by seducing the local Anglo-Saxon womenfolk, impregnate them and so populate Las Islas Malvinas with a new race of Argentinians.
